Why Does a Heritage Museum Matter?
- Heritage preservation is about promoting the core values we cherish. For example, along with the history of the Texas cowboy, pioneer life, and the Longhorn, come the time-honored lessons of hard work, individual self-determination, and the pioneer spirit; ideals still meaningful and relevant today.
- The CTHM will be more than a museum: it will offer multi-purpose public meeting spaces for learning, volunteer involvement, and fellowship; much-needed amenities that give a community appeal and vibrancy. And, it will have a positive impact on our local and regional economy by providing a prime heritage tourism destination.
Blazing New Trails: Our Fundraising Efforts
The Board, Capital Campaign Committee and Advisors are spearheading
fundraising efforts by continuing to actively pursue local, state, and
national government grants, foundation support, and corporate underwriting.
But, a significant percentage of our financial goal must be met with
pledges from individuals, families and local businesses in our area.
For this reason we personally invite you to join the Trailblazers and
Pioneer Circle, and be prominently recognized in a permanent display within
the Museum.
How Can You Help Now?
If you share our vision and values, you believe that the future of our community will be greatly enriched by honoring our proud ancestral heritage. Show your support by becoming a member of the Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum today.
